There are more brands coming up now with healthy ketchup but it’s not the norm and sometimes not available in the area you live in. Luckily, you can make your own. Here is a homemade ketchup recipe for you and your family to enjoy. This is a sugar free ketchup that gets its sweetness from natural ingredients: the tomatoes! If you are wondering how to make homemade ketchup, read on!

Ingredients:

 

  • 1 8-oz can tomato sauce

  • 1 6-oz can tomato paste

  • 3/4 cup water

  • 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar

  • 1/4 tsp onion powder

  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

  • 1/4 tsp salt or more to taste

  • pinch ground allspice

Homemade Ketchup Recipe

Directions:

  1. Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and whisk well.

  2. Bring to a boil.

  3. Simmer for about 20 minutes.

  4. Cool completely and put in a glass container. 

  5. Keep in the fridge.
