You can buy your hummus, but unfortunately lots of hummus are made with unhealthy oils. There are very healthy hummus out there but depending on the area you live in, it might be hard to find those. And if you do, you or your child/ren might not like it. In that case you can make your own. You know it’s fresh, healthy and nutritious. And you can adjust it to your and your child/rens liking.

Ingredients:

 

  • 1 can chickpeas

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 clove garlic

  • ½ tsp salt

  • 2 tbsp lemon juice

  • 2 tbsp tahini

  • Dash paprika for garnish

Hummus

Directions:

  1. Add all ingredients in a blender and mix until you have a smooth ready to eat hummus.

  2. Adjust seasoning to your liking.

Avoid most common deficiencies in your child!
